We are proud to announce the successful completion of our sprinkler installation project with JJL Design & Build Ltd, supporting the retrofit and fit-out of GXO / Greene King’s industrial warehouse in Middleton, Greater Manchester.
Our works provided new fire protection fed from the existing pump house, delivering a fully compliant system to LPC Rules and BS EN 12845:2015 + A1:2019.
- Installed ~1,100 dry pendent sprinklers with insulation boots in freezer and chill areas, incorporating a braided flexible hose solution to minimise future seal failures.
- Coordinated step-over and goal-post pipework to maintain safe walk-on ceiling access.
- Delivered five levels of in-rack sprinkler protection for ignitable liquids storage in line with LPC/BS EN 12845.
- Refurbished the existing sprinkler tank with a new butyl liner and immersion heater
- Recommissioned three diesel fire pumps following a year of site isolation.
- Installed ~3000 sprinklers at roof-level in the warehouse.
- Installed ~1000 x K320 Quick Response ESFR sprinklers on one level of the racking.
