PAISLEY GRAMMAR SCHOOL

"A growing presence in the education sector"

August 2026 saw the completion of our automatic fire sprinkler installation at the new Paisley Grammar School in Scotland on behalf of Castle Building Services Ltd.

One of the largest educational projects we have delivered to date, the scheme comprised approximately 5,500 sprinkler heads providing Ordinary Hazard Group 3 (OH3) property protection throughout the building, together with the associated water supplies. All works were designed and installed in accordance with BS EN 12845.

The project was fully coordinated in-house using Autodesk Revit, allowing our design team to develop a detailed 3D sprinkler model that integrated seamlessly with the wider building services. This collaborative approach helped identify clashes early, improve installation efficiency and support the successful delivery of the project.

Despite the scale and complexity of the development, the sprinkler installation was completed on programme, enabling the school to be handed over in time for staff and pupils to occupy the building ahead of the new academic year in September.

Paisley Grammar School is one of four school projects currently being delivered by Richmond Fire Engineers across Scotland, demonstrating our growing presence in the education sector and our capability to deliver large, technically demanding sprinkler installations nationwide.
